MARVEL SPOTLIGHT (1972-1973)

Created as a "try-out" book for new Marvel characters, Marvel Spotlight held the debut for three of Marvel's most fondly remembered horror characters: Werewolf by Night, the Son of Satan, and - most importantly - the Ghost Rider. After seven issues in the Spotlight anthology, Ghost Rider was promoted to his own bi-monthly series. Spotlight itself lasted a few more years until it was finally cancelled in the mid 1970s.
