After seeing a roadside billboard, Blaze attends a circus where a parent/son cycle team is going to attempt to break the world cycle jump record. As the mother and father attempt the jump, their cycles explode in the air, causing Johnny to think it was sabotage. Blaze watches as the son, Davey, is approached afterwards by a strange man that gives him a book capable of resurrecting his parents for the cost of his soul. Davey reads the book and weeks later climbs over the fence of a cemetery. Before he can do the ritual, however, Johnny comes up and warns him of what can happen if he sells his soul, transforming into the Ghost Rider before the boy's eyes.

The Rider goes after the man responsible for the double murder, breaking into his compound and easily defeating his guards. The killer manages to escape, but as he runs Davey prepares to shoot him. The Ghost Rider stops the boy, telling him "vengeance is the devil's work." He then follows the killer in a chase, eventually causing the man to drive off a cliff instead of facing the vengeful demon.
